A light lunch, tea and coffee is provided at no charge on all non-residential courses.
The deposit is non-refundable. We will send a receipt and an invoice 6 weeks prior to the course for the balance. This is payable by return please. Courses booked less than 6 weeks in advance should be paid in full at the time of booking. In the unlikely circumstance that the course or the venue has to be changed or cancelled by us we will offer an alternative. If this is unacceptable we will return the deposit and the fee(s) for the dates concerned. If you cancel less than 6 weeks prior to the course there will be no refund, if you postpone within 6 weeks of the course we will ask you for 50% of the course fee, unless we can fill the space, in which case you will be charged a £35.00 fee to cover the costs of finding a replacement. If you postpone more than 6 weeks prior to the start date of any of our courses (or series of courses) we will arrange a new date free of charge.
We recommend the use of eye and respiratory protection whenever using solvents. We also recommend you wear eye protection when practical, using hand tools and a dust mask when engaged in any activity that creates dust. We further recommend the wearing of an apron and footwear that ensures a sure footing. Always follow instructions, particularly whenever using sharp tools. Rubber gloves must always be worn whenever using hot water or handling solvents and chemicals. Please provide your own rubber gloves and apron. Masks and eye protecting goggles are provided. You agree not to hold Thomson Antiques, the course providers, responsible for injury if you do not follow these recommendations. It is understood that the diploma offered by Thomson Antiques is issued by us and not any outside body. Thomson Antiques, the course providers, cannot guarantee that all students will reach a high enough standard within the allotted weeks of their course to receive a diploma (applies to the diploma course only). In these cases extra weeks can be added at the reduced rate. Please book only after having read and agreed to the above conditions.
We will provide bank details for your payment at the time we confirm your course dates over the phone or by email. Please make payment through your bank, a faster payment transfer or send a cheque made out to Thomson Antiques if you prefer.
If outside the UK please use an international bank transfer.
Your course place is reserved only after the deposit is paid and booking form has been received.
